Gobble Gobble

Happy Turkey Day!!!! We had a nice day with family and friends. Ryan's mom and sean came down from Kansas to celebrate. We also had my parents over, Ryan's Dad and Kris and my grandparents. This meant lots of attention for my kids from some of their favorite people.

I am pretty sure I have mentioned Addison's love for sweets before. She had her first taste of coolwhip and couldn't get enough.

She finally figured out she could just lick the lid
Turkey time!! Addie is really working hard to use her spoon and fork to feed herself and is doing a really good job.

Some friend came over for desert and here are the kids in the back jumping on the trampoline.

Turkey sure does make you tired
Had to throw this picture in. This was Thursday night. The picture is classic. Will be great to show future girlfriends :)

Future Chefs

My kiddos love to bake - and I like to eat it!!!! Today we made the peanut butter cookies with the Hershey Kisses in the middle and the kids loved them!!!! I think I might have future chefs on my hands. Addie even loves to just sit on the counter and watch me cook dinner. They are such big helpers and I love doing anything with them that we can all do together!!!!

Happy Birthday Pepa

I have no idea why some of my pictures do not want to rotate. I know, annoying. Anyhow, we went to Mema and Pepa's this weekend in Lovelady, Tx. We had a fun time visiting with all our family and running around outside (and the guys had fun deer hunting - even though they didn't shoot anything). Mema had bought the kids this rooster that does the chicken dance and they think it is hilarious. They play it over and over and over and over again. Amazingly, batteries still work. It is amazing how the batteries you wish would run out never seem to. They had a blast dancing to this Friday night and pretty much every other day we were there.

Saturday all my Aunts came up and all the girls (plus Logan - he didn't want to stay with the guys and my aunts and mom are all a sucker for him) went to Christmas in Crockett. We had fun shopping and visiting with each other. Nonny took the kids on a train ride (even we saw a sign on the side of the train after the ride that said NO ADULTS ALLOWED ON TRAIN) oops no one said anything though and the kids had fun!
Christmas in Crockett on the Square
Friday and Saturday were pretty chilly out. It felt so good though. Too bad the warm weather is already back.

Mema always has lots of goodies made at her house. All we do is eat while we are there. Addie sure did love Mema's homemade blueberry muffins!

Wanting so badly to go outside.

She loves her baby!
First thing Logan wanted to do this morning was go outside and ride his bike. He sure loves being outside at mema's.
Having breakfast with Daddy (a 2nd time - Daddy was hunting while we ate breakfast and she decided she needed to eat again - I guess she didn't want Daddy to eat alone).
Logan came into the room with these rubberbands all in his hair and wanted Addie to do the same. Here are my silly kids.

The Birthday Boy!! He doesn't look a day over 30!!!!
Happy Birthday Pepa!

My Sweet Logan

Logan has been quite a funny boy lately. Just now he asked me if I could watch Addie while he cleaned th house. If only it was this easy my life would be easy!!!!

The other day we were talking about Thanksgiving and I asked him if he knew what it was. I explained to him that he was very blessed and had a lot to be thankful for and that there were some boys and girls out there who did not have a house or food, etc. and he so sweetly goes "they can borrow our house, we eat food here and they can eat with us". Sweet boy.

Yesterday my aunt watched the kids for us so Ryan and I could go to a Rockets game. She asked Logan if he had a good time with her and he said "oh we aren't finished yet".

I am sure there are other sweet and funny things he says that I can't think of at the time. He never stops talking though. He is getting so big and talks to grown up. We really have to watch what we say though because he repeats EVERYTHING!!!!

Santa's Little Helpers

Like I said, we are so ready for Christmas. The kids (mainly Logan) wants to wear his Christmas pajamas every night now. Good thing we have more than 1 pair for them!!! Of course he wants Addie to match him.
By the looks of these pictures from tonight you would never know that I have been dealing with 2 sick kiddos. Logan has had a cough for almost 2 weeks now and Addie has been running a fever since Friday (and waking up screaming several times for the past 2 nights). I wasn't too sure what was wrong with Addie and she seemed as if she was in pain so I took her to the doctor to make sure she didn't have an ear infection (or possibly an infection in her molar that is coming in). Dr. said we are all good and that it was probably just a viral infection by the look of the lab results and she told us if Logan's cough was not gone by Wednesday to start him on an antibiotic because there was a chance it could be turning into a sinus infection! Tonight everyone felt great though and the kids were dancing around in their Christmas pj's. Here are some fun pictures from the night.
