Lake Conroe

We went out on the Lake last week while Chad and Katie were here. This was Addie's first time out (since she has been out of my belly) :) She loved standing at the front of the boat while the wind hit her. I was shocked how well she kept her life jacket on. She never wined for it to come off. There are lots of pictures...but that is nothing new!

Lovelady

Katie had never had the privilege to visit Lovelady so this was one of the things she asked if she could do while here visiting. Of course my kids are always in when it comes to going to Mema's and Pepa's...Mema made us some yummy food as always (this is my favorite part about going :) and the kids enjoyed much playtime outside.
Addie really loved this Raggedy Anne doll that my grandma has. I think somehow we even ended up bringing it home since she could not part with it. Kids always enjoy a ride on the 4-wheeler.

Addie trying her hardest to figure out how to turn it on.
Logan wanted a shot at it.
My grandparents have 2 baby cows (or at least 2 that I saw) and here is one of them.
Addie is pretty crazy about her Uncle Chad.

This sweet girl always has a purse on her arm..sometimes more than 1 and if we are home usually a pair of my shoes on her feet to go with the purse.

Uncle Chad and Aunt Katie Come Again

Chad and Katie came in last week to visit since it was Katie's spring break. Saying Logan was excited to see them would be an understatement. He could not wait to play with his Uncle Chad. As soon as they got into Houston they headed over to the house before they left to go to the Rodeo. Logan enjoyed some outside playtime with them.

We finally had a weekend that we could just relax...it won't last long because the next few are already booked with birthday parties and wedding showers.
Last week in Sunday School they planted this little dude and he is somewhat like a chia pet and he started out bald and now this is what he looks like...actually this picture was taken a few days ago and his hair is even longer. Logan is so proud of him and every morning wakes up and says "look mom, his hair is growing longer". This little girl loves to eat meat...and I mean LOVES...for dinner we had smoked chicken and she had already eaten what was on her plate and saw some more on a plate and just decided to help herself and eventually just grabbed a chicken leg and started going to town. For as much as she eats it is hard to believe she is so little.
Addie also loves to pull things out of anything, baskets, bins, purses, bookshelves, whatever...and she looks at everything one at a time and then puts it aside and moves on to the next. Here is what I found going on in her room Sunday night. You could barely see her floor and this pictures doesn't even show the other half of the room that had books spread out everywhere. She emptied all her bows, diapers, books, toys everything should could get her hands on. She is such a busy little thing but loves to play in her room by herself with her toys!

Battleship and Bluebell

We have been hanging out with our friends Debbie, Aubrey and Ashton this week since Aubrey is on Spring Break and trying to keep the kids entertained. Yesterday we decided to take the kids to the Texas Battleship near the monument. They thought this was pretty cool...Logan especially liked pretending he could shoot the guns. I know I have lots of pictures but I couldn't choose and I know my mom wanted to see them....the sad thing is I still have plenty more I didn't post.
On our way over to the Battleship we had to take a fairy...this was not in our plans since we knew nothing about it but the kids thought it was awesome. If you look at that building right there on land...that is the Monument Inn and it is a great restaurant if you are ever down in that area. It is seafood mainly and they have amazing cinammon rolls they serve as their bread. We used to eat there when I was a kid and it was as good as I had remembered. Logan testing out the big guns

Check out this sign...nice huh???

After lunch at the monument inn we headed over to the Monument to let the kids run around on the grounds to get a little energy out before we headed back home in traffic.

Addie doesn't say much but Ashton was chasing her trying to get the ball and Addie just kept saying "MINE" over and over which was the first time I had ever heard her say the word. It was really cute though considering she doesn't say much (as I have mentioned many times before).
Today since it was raining we took the kids to Brenham to the Bluebell Creamery. We took a tour of the creamery which was pretty short but just long enough to keep the kids interest. Then off to try some yummy bluebell flavors. Of course this was pretty much all of ours favorite part.

Addie had Banana Puddin, Lo had Vanilla (manilla) and I had Rocky Road...Yummo!

Tomorow we are taking a break and staying home and Addie has her first Speech Therapy...will let everyone know how it goes...She has started signing a little better but really need her to start talking...
