A Look Back

Okay so this is a day late but we had a busy day yesterday. Addie had her 1st Birthday. I can not believe that she is already 1. My baby girl is growing so fast. As I did for Logan, I had to post some pictures from last year when she was born. It is so amazing how much they change in one year. On her birthday Addie took 5 steps. YEAH! she was so proud of herself. She has taken a few today as well. I don't think it will be long. She is also getting 2 more teeth. This will make 7 teeth.
So here I am right before I had Addie on Sept 1st last year. Boy was I glad to get her out for 2 reasons - 1. because we were so ready to meet her and 2. i was just so darn big and was tired of carrying that big belly around!!! She is just so precious and has been such a blessing to us this past year and can not wait to watch her continue to grow and celebrate many more birthdays!!! We love you Addison Claire and thank God for choosing us to be your parents.

First Present

On Monday while Ryan was off we took Addie to eat Chineese Food (one of her faves) and let her open one of her presents since we are not getting to have her party for a few weeks. She had a blast opening them. We let Logan join in the fun.

She got a baby stroller and her first cabbage patch!!!

She is going to be such a good little mommy one day!
Monday evening we met my mom at Cheesecake Factory for desert. My dad is on a motorcycle trip this week so he wasn't able to join us. He will be back for her Birthday party though.

Nonny got Addie some cute birthday clothes. As if she needs anymore clothes right? But a girl can never have too many!!!!

This was the look she gave them when they were singing happy birthday to her.
Oh how she loves sweets!!!!
She got tired of waiting for me to feed her so she took over.

Bedtime Story

I love bedtime. Not just because it means peace and quiet is just around the corner but I just love the whole bedtime routine. I love the smell of clean babies out of the bath and then sitting down to read our bedtime story together. Both my kids love to read so that makes me very happy that they will sit and let me read to them. Some nights Ryan does it and I love seeing him sit and read the kids a story but I love it when it is my turn too. Ryan took a picture of me reading the kids their bedtime story the other night and about this the time he took it Addie was beginning to get squirmy. If you haven't had a chance to hold Addison, she is the most wiggliest baby I have ever held. I chose a long book this night (Just in Case You Ever Wonder - great book if you haven't ever read it) so her time was up by about this point. Still think it is a sweet picture though. Here is my silly boy. Lately he thinks it is pretty funny to put Addies Binky in his mouth. Not so funny to Addie though.

Happy Birthday to Savannah Grace, Raylan and Noah

Friday night we went to the Magnolia HS football game to watch Drew play football and Paige dance in the drill team. The kids had a blast. Logan kept asking to go play too. I am not sure if I am ready for him to play football yet:) Here is Addie cheering for the team. Gosh I just love this boy.
Addie couldn't take her eyes of the drill team. I was thinking about taking the kids to watch the Rockettes Christmas show this year beacuse it is coming to Houston (the weird thing is their christmas show is coming in January - i wish it was coming sooner because the show definitely gets you into the christmas spirit but I still love the show and I really want to see it). So Addies love for watching the dancers really makes me think she will like the Rockettes as well as Logan. They are so awesome to watch. I can't wait!!!!
I am pretty sure Paige is one of the blonde headed girls in this picture :) Good job girl. Ya'lls dance was awesome!
Logan also enjoyed watching the drill team and band!
Here is Drew kicking the ball. GO DREW!!

Okay so I had lots of birthday parties this weekend and I was trying to come up with a cute birthday present for the girls. Raylan was turning 1 and her mom said she needed some girly things. Well what is more girly than a tutu right? So I attempted to make my first tutus. I personally think they look really good. 1 is bigger than the other because it was for an older little girl. I paid a lot of money for Addie's tutu so I am seriously thinking about making these and selling them!

Savannah Grace turned 2. She is such a little cutie. We had fun at her hula party.
Here is Kat with all the babies. Why does she always have more than 1 in her arms? She is destined to have at least twins her next go round with all the practice she gets. Shawna and Addie
The Birthday Girl!!!! Happy Birthday Savannah Grace

We also had Raylan and Noahs birthdays on Saturday. Raylan (who is 2 days older than Addie) turned 1. She is such a little princess. Here is the birthday girl and Addie.
Noah turned 3. What a big boy. Here is Noah and Raylan opening presents.
Look at these cute cakes. Especially the care bear one.
Raylan sure did like the cake! I can't wait for Addies turn. We actually have another party today but I started feeling bad last night and I ache all over so I am not sure that we will make it to the party today. I didn't even go to church this morning I was feeling so bad. My husband has been wonderful this weekend though. I have to brag on him. I didn't go to bed until almost 3:30 sat morning (because I was making the tutus - well i didnt decide to make them until the very last minute) so Ryan woke up with the kids Sat and today and fed them and got them dressed so I could sleep in, he went to all the birthday parties with me yesterday (and the galleria) and he also took the kids to church this morning with him so that I could rest. I must say he is such a great husband and Daddy!!!! Thanks Ryan. I am still not feeling better though. I hope I feel a little better tomorrow since Ryan is off. I want to hang out with him and the kids!!!

Highlights

First and foremost, Logan is finally potty trained!!! WOO HOO. We started last Thursday and he pretty much did great from there. He still has accidents at night while he is sleeping but otherwise he has done awesome. I am so proud of him and I think he is very proud of himself. He said we could give his old diapers to Addison! I thought this day would never come, but I am so glad it did. Last Friday we went to Safari Stop with our friends and the kids had so much fun playing. Logan usually will not go up in the tunnels but finally this past time he got brave.
Addison did not like the feel of this stuff on her knees so she broke out the army crawl (but concrete doesn't seem to mind cement - strange). If she would just learn to walk she wouldn't have to worry about this. She actually did take her first step last week. She can take one step and then she is done. Hopefully it is coming soon. She sure does want to get down and run around with her brother and friends.

Eli and Lizzie

Saturday we decided to head to the Houston Childrens Museum. We always love going. We invited Ryans dad and Kris to tag along. Addie was not having a good day. She would not let me put her down. I took her over to the infant section to play and there was so many fun things to do but she didn't last long.
She did enjoy driving this car in there though.
My sweet Logan
Okay, yes I am one of those that buys Halloween costumes in August. I learned after Logan's first Halloween if you don't get them when you see them they won't have your size. I tried Addies on last week to see if it fit (it was a 12-18 and I thought it might be a little big). It is adorable on her and she loved it. I just had to share these sweet pictures of her. She loves her baby and here she is giving baby hugs.

She is standing really good on her own now. She is such a big girl!
Logan has been asking us (just about every day) to go to a baseball game. Tuesday night we took him with my parents (well my mom, my dad ended up having a meeting and not getting to go). Logan LOVES baseball. He really just loves sports period. I know his daddy is pleased about that. He starts soccer at the end of September. I am so looking forward to being a soccer mom and all that entails.

Sorry for such a long post. We have had lots of things going on. We have another fun filled weekend. 4 birthdays. We are going to try our best to make it too all of them. Look forward to more party pictures. And some special little girl has a birthday next week. I can't believe my baby girl is going to be "1". It kind of makes me sad but I love the age she is at. She is so much fun. I love having a boy but I also love so much having a girl and everything about the girly stuff. They are so much more fun to buy for (maybe because I am a girl and I remember all that stuff) I love the dresses and tutus and baby dolls, strollers, anything pink. I just love it. I can't wait until she starts playing dress up and house. Logan is also at a fun age. He communicates so well with us right now and always is saying something to make us laugh. He is full of energy still and even if it wears me out I love every minute of it. I even love all the questions and "why" after everything I say!!!!!
