Oil Ranch

Friday we went with our friends Kristy and Tyler to the Oil Ranch. The kids always love going out here and I actually don't mind it myself. The weather was absolutely perfect. I really wanted a pumpkin patch shot with my two kids but Addie is not one to cooperate in front of the camera. The minute she sees it she turns her head. I have to be quick.

Tyler loves trains and was so excited about the train ride. Addie and Logan both enjoyed the ride too.

Going on a hayride to feed the cows. My kids thought this was the best thing in the world. I am not too sure Tyler felt the same way.

The kids get to take a pumpkin home with them. Here is Addie loading hers in the stroller to go home. We had so much fun and can't wait to come back again next year.

Happy 4th Birthday Parker J

We had some much fun at Parkers Birthday party last night. These kids have all grown up together and it is neat to watch them grow every year. Here is Addie, Logan and Maggie gettin down with Chuck E. Maggie has got some moves :) This was a fun ride they have put in since the last time I was there. Addie and I started out riding it and Haley bug wanted to hop on and then here comes Miss Maggie and so they booted me off :) I think they rode this ride for 30 minutes.
Addie sandwiched in between Haley and Maggie and loving every minute of it.

The Past Weekend

We had a busy weekend from. Friday night we met up with my mom and dad and my aunt kristi and cousin nathan and all went to Incredible Pizza for food and games. Saturday was Logan's T-ball game and then we met some friends for a picnic at the park since it was such a beautiful day outside. Sunday I had a baby shower for a sweet friend and then bible study. I am not sure we spent any time at home besides sleeping. Here are some pics.
I love this pic. Logan was being so sweet to his sister reading her a book. Logan had a good game...I could'nt see a whole lot of it because the sun was blaring in my eyes the whole time.
He is on the cutest little team this year.

Bowling with cousin Nathan.
Being silly with daddy.
She loves to pretend she is driving the race cars...i do not look forward to the day that they actually realize they need money to really play :)
So far this week we have gotten to spend lots of time with our friends...Yesterday we met our friends Shawna and Austin at Safari Stop and got to meet their newest addition Avery. She was just precious and so tiny. I did not get any pictures of her sad to say :( But take my word for it...she was cute. The kids had fun of course...on the way home our conversation in the car went like this
Logan: Mommy I had so much fun at Safari Stop
Addie: I had fun at Target
We had gone to Target before Safari Stop...Addie loves loves loves to go. She is just like her momma. Neither one of us and drive past a Target and not get the urge to stop :)

She is learning to text at an early age...

We had our friends Angela, Raylan and Noah over to play after Logan got out of school today. All the kids wanted to go outside but first Addie had to dress up as Tinkerbell...if you notice...she is wearing big girl panties...don't get me wrong...we are SO not potty trained. I have been working on her on and of (i know i should be doing it consistently but it is so hard) and she just wasnt getting it. So yesterday morning she told me to take her diaper off and I thought she just needed it changed and then she said she was going potty. I was on the phone and kind of just blew it off because she just likes to go sit on it. Later on that morning she said "i go potty" and walked over there and sure enough she had pottied on her potty chair (and I think these are so disgusting because I hate cleaning them out - Logan never used it) but I was so proud of her. Especially since we would sit on the potty for 45 minutes and got nothing...she would just say "it isn't working". Logan gets so proud of her when she goes though...it is so cute. I still think we have a ways to go...but I am so ready...especially since she loves to take her clothes and diaper off all the time.

Projects

Today my mom and I spent lots of time being crafty...she needed a fall sign for her bulletin board and so I thought I needed one for my house of course...and I LOVE it. So fun! I am so glad Fall is here and that it actually feels like fall...I am sure next week it will be back to the 90s :( We also made a cute cute diaper cake for a baby shower we are going to next weekend...I thought it turned out so cute as well. And we are putting a super cute green and brown stuffed dinosaur on top. I love it!

Scarecrow Festival

Yesterday my mom, aunt, addie and I all went to the scarecrow festival in Chappel Hill while the guys went to the deer lease. We had so much fun and found some great things. I got the cutest Matching Reindeer shirts for the kids (except addies reindeer has a bow in its hair :)) I also got some great ideas! Addie saw some pumpkins you could decorate and of course wanted one of her own! Here she is decorating her little pumpkin. She was so proud of it!

Aunt Kristi got a bag of kettle corn and Addie ate at least 3/4 of the bag...I still can not believe she did not get sick...for such a little girl she can put away so much fun.

Play Ball...

Logan had his first T-ball game today. It was so much fun. Way better than soccer last year...more organized and maybe the fact that they are a whole year older helps. Logan is still learning the rules to baseball but he had so much fun out there. I am one proud momma of my little ball player.
This is one proud sister too...in the midst of eating of breakfast on the go she cheered her big brother on. She sat and watched the entire game and would softly to herself say "go Logan"...so sweet.

After the game my mom took the kids for us so that we could go to the play Meet Me in St. Louis. We got to enjoy a nice breakfast together and then headed over to the Hobby center downtown. We were there a little early so Alexia you will be glad to know that we stopped by Artista and had us a piece of Tres Leches...and yes it may have been the best I have ever had! The play was awesome too. May even be one of my favorites...besides Wicked...thus far!

TGIF

So glad it is Friday...seems to have been a long week. I have tried to get lots done and have accomplished some things but I have this darn foot that still holds me back a little. It is much better but when I am up on it for long periods of time I feel it. So we took it easy today because I was on it way too much yesterday running errands and yesterday evening it was swelling up again. I will be glad when it is back to normal. Here are my sweet kiddos having a snack and Wrigley waiting patiently for them to drop something. We went out to dinner with my mom tonight and then walked around Market Street for a little while. My mom watched the kids for a bit while we ran over to Toys R Us to pick up some Christmas gifts (yes...I just said Christmas gifts) and I only have 2 things left to get for the kids...for once I am on top of things!

Logan has his first T-ball game in the morning so look forward to seeing pictures of my little baseball pro!

I pledge allegiance...

Today I was in my room and the baby monitor was on and I heard Logan and Addie talking and I heard Logan say "here Addie hold this flag and repeat after me"...and I heard him say the whole pledge which I did not even know he knew. So I was pretty impressed. I guess they must do it at school everyday! So of course I had to get it on video for you all to see!
