Houston Zoo

By Friday we were all so ready to get out of the house and it was such a beautiful day...we joined some friends for a trip to the zoo! It was an absolutely gorgeous day and we all (meaning 11 kids and 5 adults) had fun seeing the animals and going for a train ride!

SIck Babies

I have had some pretty sick babies this past week....They both had strep and on top of that Addie had the flu....It was a rough week and we were enjoying the beautiful weather from our driveway for most of the week. Addie is not a good medicine taker...it takes everything in me to get her to take it so I opted for the pennicilyn shot which I believe was a little painful but she was quite the trooper with a few owies every now and then but it beats trying to shove 10 days of antibiotics down her throat. They both laid around a lot and one day during nap time I found Addie like this...of course in her princess costume, head in the most uncomfortable position ever and crown covering her eyes...believe it or not...this was the best she had slept in a few days...I think she really needed the rest. I am glad to have now made it past all the sickness and hope to not see it for a long long time again.

Princess is Potty Trained

Its official (as of a couple of weeks ago) ADDIE IS POTTY TRAINED...I honestly thought the day would never come....I would always try and she would scream every time I put her on the potty so I finally gave up. I few weeks ago she woke up and said she needed to go potty...sure enough she did. I did not think it would go beyond that and we had plans at the park that day so I went ahead and put a diaper on her and sure enough as soon as we got all of our lunch out she looks at me and says I need to go potty...I hopped up grabbed Addie and Logan and left our food to head to the car (where I did have her potty) and she went...so from there on NO MORE DIAPERS...I am pretty lucky. She potty trained herself for the most part. Sweet girl! Oh and I found some FANCY NANCY panties the other day at Target and she was Thrilled.

Houston Live Stock Show and Rodeo

Ok...finally getting around to posting our Family Rodeo day on here...we went last Wednesday to see Dierks Bentley. Logan LOVES the actual rodeo...and both kids always seem to enjoy the music and Dierks put on a great show.
This was the kids first year to get to enjoy the carnival...we have always walked through it but never done the rides...we let them pick a few but Addie was pretty much too small to ride any of them.

Kenny Chesney

Chase offered us suite seats for last nights rodeo and concert and so Ryan and I enjoyed our night out and a great concert by Kenny Chesney.

Best Friends AKA: Future Husband and Wife :)

Today...as pretty much every Tuesday and Thursday is, was Addie and Camden day! I can not remember if I have mentioned before their LOVE/HATE relationship with one another...they talk about each other all the time when apart but together love to bicker at each other as if they were an old married couple. Looking past the bickering...they really do love each other :) They are both just so darn cute!

Star of the Week

Each week at school they have a star of the week and whoever is the star of the week has to fill out the star and send it back to school...this week was Logan's turn to be the star of the week...I found these really fun ceramic egg magnets at Target this week that you paint...the kids enjoyed this little activity and I now have some special little Easter magnets on my fridge :)

Melissa's Baby Shower

We threw a shower for a sweet friend today at my house and had so much fun. She is just the cutest little pregnant thing and is going to have a sweet little baby girl named Maylee!
We played a fun little game...you had to hold your cell phone as if you were talking, hold a baby and a diaper bag and see how many pieces of clothing you could hang on the clothes line in 30 seconds...it was quite entertaining.
Our little girls were having a little fun of their own during the shower.
