Lunch Date

This morning after Gymboree playtime Alexia and I took the kids for lunch at a cafe near by. They both were really good. Here are some cute pictures from our lunch date...

This is what preschool does to you...

This was one tired boy tonight...in bed and asleep by 7:15. Maybe he needs to go to school everyday? Just kidding....

Big Day

Today was Logan's first day of preschool...and he survived...or shall I say his teachers survived :) No...they said he was really good. He was so excited to go and I was so excited for him. I did not think I would be sad but I was...and Addie and I sure did miss him. He had lots to carry...backpack, lunch kit and napmat...he said "mom, it's like we are going on vacation". When we got there this morning they had an activity that they wanted the parents to do with the kids before we left. Logan was ready to get started. Addie also wanted to do the activity. She was kind of hoping I was going to leave her too I think :) She did not want to leave.

My big preschooler...
While Logan was at school Addie and I went to story time at PBK and then went to Sweet and Sassy to get her haircut. Her she is glitter and all.

Her sweet little haircut...she really has to be the cutest little girl in the whole wide world.
She was so ready to go get "LoLo" from school. She couldn't wait to show him her new haircut. Her she is having a snack on the way to pick Logan up from school.

Finally some cool weather...

Well...I woudn't go as far as saying Cool Weather but maybe Cooler weather. We have had some nice mornings and evenings this week. The kids went out side to play quite a bit and we even enjoyed dinner out on the patio on evening... ....life is just better when you only have to wear your underwear and diaper :)

Happy Birthday Raylan and Noah

We had Raylan and Noah's birthday party to go to today. They had super cute cakes... Addie was just fascinated with Raylans cake...

Here is Noah with his new cape trying to show it to me.
This has been a really busy week. Addie's birthday, dr. appts, meet the teacher, etc...here are a few other activities I have captured. Here is Logan in his Karate class...he likes it but I am still not so sure this is for him. I think he will enjoy T-ball much more this fall and he is absolutely obsessed with baseball. Addie had her 2yr checkup this week. She did really well...she cried for a second with the shots and then realized she had bandaids and all was well...my kids LOVE LOVE LOVE (I can't even begin to express how much they love) bandaids. They would probably hurt themselves just to get them. You are not cool at our house unless you are wearing bandaids. So she was happy when she saw she had "3" of them on her legs. She weighed a little over 23 lbs (tiny little thing) and I know bad mom but I can't remember how tall she was. I will have to look it up later. Dr. said everything looks great!

Logan also met his teacher this week and one of them is actually someone we grew up going to church with so that will be nice. I think he is really going to enjoy preschool. I am excited for him.

The Birthday Girl

Addie had a busy day on her birthday...here is the little superstar eating a blueberry muffin for breakfast...who says it has to be sunny to have on sunglasses. I racked my brain trying to think of something special to do that Addie would enjoy and what does she enjoy better than books...we went to story time at the library. Jesica and the kids met us up there and they all seemed to enjoy every minute of it.
Addie is in heaven....

We went with Kris out to lunch for a burger and here is the little princess waiting for our food.
...and then cupcakes at Forest Bakery...yumm.....

We went out with Nonny and Papa for dinner at Freebirds (Logan's choice). I know it was Addie's birthday but I think Addie and I were still full from lunch.
We love this precious birthday girl and our family would not be complete without her...

We already had our cake...now for ice cream...

The kids did not want to go to bed and I can not imagine why (it couldn't possibly be from all the sugar they ate). We had a fun day with our precious Angel and hope it was as special for her as it was for us.

Two-Too Cute

This precious little girl turned "2" today. She is always makes me smile and can talk me into just about anything when she says "pease mommy" so sweetly. She loves loves loves to read. Her favorite book is Pinkalicious and I will hear her in their reading "no more cupcakes you have had enough" and "pease mommy just one more cupcake" and of course "pink pink pink" and "more more more" (all sayings from the book) and she knows exactly which page to say what on. It couldn't possibly be because we read the book at least once a day. She also loves music and loves to sing. If she isn't reading a book she is singing a song. Her favorite toys are the kitchen, any doll, minnie mouse and loves to dress up. She definitely believes she is a princess. She adores her big brother and wants to do everything that he does (not always a good thing) but he does adore her too. If one is asleep in the other awake I can guarantee it would not stay like that for long becuase the one awake wants the other one to play with and usually ends up waking that other one up. Addie is just a delight to be around...she is shy at first when she meets someone but warms up pretty quickly. She does have quite the temper when she does not get what she wants and we are working on that. She also has her daddy wrapped around her little finger. He adores her as well. We thank you Lord for this precious little life you have given us to raise and pray that we raise her to glorify you in all that she does.

Story Time

We met our friends Kristy and Tyler at Pottery Barn Kids today for storytime. The kids enjoy listening to the books and of course playing around the store.
After walking the mall for a while we decided we needed lunch and a ride on the carousel.

Addie got a princess backpack that she picked out at the disney store (along with a buzz lightyear and woody doll she picked out). I would have thought she would want something else but her brother has one and never shares them with her and so she wanted her own. She loves carrying her backpack around.
